VSA Analytics has undergone a number of recent updates. VSA Analytics is a robust tool colleges and universities can use to compare and analyze key performance metrics across institutions. It is co-sponsored by AASCU and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) to support institutional benchmarking and accountability.
Over the past few months, the tool has undergone several updates:
- The tool’s database now includes 2017 and 2018 data, allowing it to encompass 10 years of total data.
- Faculty diversity reports show faculty headcount by race and gender.
- Instructional expenditures per full-time equivalent student (FTES) and state appropriations per FTES reflect financial institutional metrics. This can be used to compare the finance data of public, private not-for-profit, and for-profit schools. However, some metrics are not totally comparable.
- A congressional district filter can now be used to create a comparison group.
APLU and AASCU welcome feedback from your institution. Please log into your VSA Analytics account to view these changes and send your comments or questions to ExecutiveDirector@VSAAnalytics.org. You can also view a video of the updates to the tool’s homepage.
