Earlier this year, U.S. Under Secretary of Education James Kvaal called on the higher education community to help the Department of Education spread the word about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) waiver due to expire on Oct. 31.
A centerpiece of the Biden administration’s work will be a series of
PSLF Days of Action, with the first coming this Wednesday, Aug. 24. As part of this effort, the White House and the department are asking organizations and campuses to help promote the campaign.
To do this, they have produced a
partner toolkit and an
employer toolkit, both of which can be found on the department’s
stakeholder resource website. In addition, the White House has a new
PSLF website with shareable social media graphics, a one-page explainer document for borrowers, and a simple tool borrowers can use to see if they are eligible.
