AASCU partnered with Wiley University Services to convene a two-part virtual summit focused on trends in the higher education market, with a specific focus on regional public universities, including findings to support institutional enrollment strategies and online learner engagement. Each session included a presentation from national thought leaders as well as facilitated, interactive breakout rooms for participants to discuss the findings among colleagues and apply them to their own institutions.

Recruiting a new generation of learners to your institution is a complex undertaking. Wiley University Services shared new findings on the state of the education market from the latest Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data. This virtual summit convened subject matter experts who engage at all stages of the student journey to discuss trends and strategies nationally and among regional public universities that may help guide program planning cycles and lead to stronger enrollment and retention.
Results from recent surveys have shown that the current generation of online learners has specific needs when looking for, enrolling in, and completing a program. According to Inside Higher Ed’s 2022 Survey of College and University Chief Academic Officers, 85% of universities plan to expand their online offerings. How do the university leaders that are tasked with tracking trends in student data and shaping the strategies that will guide the university forward filter out the noise to craft and implement policies that will uplift the entire learning ecosystem?
