    AASCU commends and honors MLI Founders who conceived the vision of MLI, designed the program, and moved it from concept to reality from the first momentous meeting on July 18, 1998.

    Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI) prepares the next generation of leaders in higher education by advancing persons who are traditionally underrepresented as presidents and chancellors.

      Alexis Montevirgen (Class of 2017) has been selected as President of Los Angeles Pierce College

      Angela Jones (Class of 2019) has been selected as Chief Executive Officer of Washington STEM

      Berenecea Johnson Eanes (Class of 2012) has been selected as Interim President of York College

      Benjamin Akande (Class of 2010) has been selected as President of Champlain College. This marks his second presidency. 

      Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore (Class of 2018) has been selected as Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs of California Polytechnic State University 

      Dwaun Warmack (Class of 2013) has been selected as President of Claflin University. This marks his second presidency.
