Vanessa Kenon

Vanessa Kenon is the associate vice president of technology compliance and community engagement at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Kenon is responsible for management and leadership of the department’s audit, compliance, risk services, information technology policies, business continuity and emergency management, space management, internal and external community outreach and collaboration, and the department’s experiential learning Bold Careers Internship and Ambassador Program. Kenon is also a lecturer in the College of Education and technology support staff for UTSA Roadrunner Gaming.

At the state and national level, Kenon serves as EDUCAUSE faculty, core data facilitator, and ambassador for UTSA, RTM Advisory Board, and Texas Association for Strategic Solutions and Collaboration in Computing Board. Kenon has presented and facilitated at conferences and events across the globe. She is also well published in the areas of workplace learning and professional development, student success technology, experiential learning, and global education collaboration.

Kenon earned her bachelor’s degrees in communications and English from Trinity University (TX). She received her master’s and her doctorate in educational leadership from UTSA.
