Kate Hall
Director, Grow Your Own Center

Kate Hall is the director of the Tennessee Grow Your Own Center at the University of Tennessee System, where she leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of statewide teacher apprenticeship and grow-your-own initiatives. With an Ed.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis and an M.A. in reading education, she brings deep expertise in competency‑based curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, and program evaluation. Prior to her current role, Hall served as a senior specialist at the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching and associate principal in Kingsport City Schools, among other leadership and classroom positions. Her work spans literacy coaching, strategic planning, and professional development aimed at expanding access to high‑quality educator preparation and driving student success.
