AI

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing the way we live, learn, and work.

Universities are adapting quickly to these fundamental changes to ensure that they are preparing students who are ready to thrive in a world reshaped by the presence of artificial intelligence. The provost has a key role to play in leading a campus into the era of AI, helping the campus to embrace the promise of AI in supporting students on their journey to their degree and into the workplace and encouraging faculty to think creatively, rather than defensively, about the implications of AI for curriculum, pedagogy, and student learning. AASCU’s Symposium for Provosts on AI will provide attendees with a primer on AI in higher education, while it addresses pressing questions about artificial intelligence at regional public universities.

Attendees will return to campus with a better understanding of AI and higher education, examples of how campuses are effectively integrating AI into teaching, learning, research, and work, and tools for leading AI integration throughout the academic enterprise.

Who should attend:

  • Provosts and Chief Academic Officers

Benefits of participation:

  • See how are campuses adapting curriculum, pedagogy, and student learning to prepare students for the workforce
  • Gain change management strategies to help faculty adapt to be an AI-ready campus
  • Understand campus policies and data governance issues that campuses should consider as they responsibly integrate AI
  • Learn the components for institutional readiness to integrate artificial intelligence into the university
  • Discuss how educational technology evolved to incorporate AI to support students on their pathway to a degree
  • Gain insights on current, relevant federal and state policies related to AI and where might there be future funding opportunities for campuses related to AI
