Stephanie Sowl

Stephanie Sowl is the associate director of research at ECMC Foundation, where she supports the grantmaking team in research and evaluation projects and uses research to inform the foundation’s strategic direction. Prior to her current role, Sowl led the design and execution of the Rural Impact Initiative at ECMC Foundation as a program officer, building on her expertise in rural college access and success.

Sowl holds a Doctor of Philosophy in higher education from Iowa State University, a Master of Education in education policy, organization and leadership from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, accounting, and business management from Blackburn College (IL).
