Nyala Watkins
Program Manager, Student Success

Nyala Watkins is the program manager for student success for AASCU’s Academic Innovation and Transformation Division. She has worked with the Re-Imagining the First Year of College (RFY) and Frontier Set (FS) initiatives. Prior to this role, Watkins was the senior program advisor for AASCU’s Grants Resource Center. She also has experience in working with community colleges through her work at a regional admissions counselor for the ed-tech company Quad Learning. Her career in education started when she started teaching adult-learners in Thailand, after earning her TESOL certification in Cambodia. She earned her B.A. in sociology and speech communication from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in data analytics from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
