The Next Generation of GrantSearch

Get answers to frequently asked questions.

We are developing new tools and functionality to support the evolving funding landscape.

Our new GrantSearch is faster, more modern, and expands on the functionality you already use—like alerts, newsletters, and search functions. Your existing alerts have already been migrated to the new GrantSearch environment.

The funded proposal library is now being integrated with the search tool. You’ll still be able to view funded proposals by agency, but they’ll also be connected to current funding opportunities. You’ll be able to view the abstract and make a request directly from the opportunity.

We’ll have additional announcements this fall, including new services designed to support your funding success.

Next Generation GrantSearch FAQ

You can log in here, for the next generation of GrantSearch. We are excited to share this updated version with you, featuring improved search functionality, a single centralized place to find new and recurring opportunities, and the ability to receive weekly alerts for opportunities that match your research interests.

GrantSearch login.

Yes. Upon your first login, you can confirm your previous alert preferences. At any time, you can adjust your preferences by clicking on the saved searches button.

Click the “saved searches” button. From the saved searches landing page, click “re-run” to adjust the search parameters or build additional alerts for different projects or areas of interest.

You can start with a simple keyword search, or you can build a search using the academic subject tags. Using subjects lets you take advantage of the and/or buttons to narrow down or expand based on your selected interest areas. Similarly, you can search by funder, deadline, or project type.

To save your search, click the “save this search” button, and a window will pop up. Check the “email me weekly with matching opportunitiesbox, and you’ll begin receiving email alerts for relevant new or upcoming opportunities.

On each individual record in the new GrantSearch, you will be able to see the last verified date, letting you know when staff last checked and updated the record.

We are working hard to integrate the funded proposal library into GrantSearch. Soon, you will be able to search for successful examples of proposals alongside the opportunities in which you are interested. In the meantime, you can fill out a request form, and our team will work to get you what you need.

The new GrantSearch lets you share easily. You can copy the link from your browser and share with colleagues, who will be directed to the specific opportunity record or the filtered search you are trying to share, once they log into the system.

Yes. Save an empty, unfiltered search, and when the window pops up, check the box that you want to receive weekly updates. You’ll receive a digest of all new opportunities released weekly from federal and private funders.
