Adam J. Gaffey earned his B.A. in communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth, his M.A. in communication and rhetorical studies from Syracuse University (NY), and his Ph.D. in communication (concentration in rhetoric and public affairs) from Texas A&M University. He teaches classes on presentational speaking, rhetorical theory and criticism, argumentation and advocacy, persuasion, and visual communication. His research has been published in Southern Communication Journal, Communication Teacher, Western Journal of Communication, Rhetoric & Public Affairs, and Rhetoric Society Quarterly.
