Adam Ray

Adam Ray is the deputy director of the Rural Talent Development and Attraction Lab (Rural Talent Lab). In this role, he oversees the day-to-day activities of the Rural Talent Lab, a grant-funded initiative led by the Alliance for Research on Regional Colleges at Appalachian State University (NC). Additionally, Ray has previous experience in career services and undergraduate admissions. Influenced by his rural upbringing in western North Carolina, Ray is also a doctoral candidate in the educational leadership program at Appalachian State, researching rural public opinion of postsecondary education. Ray received his B.S. in social science education, B.A. in history, and M.Ed. in higher education student affairs from Western Carolina University (NC). He also received an Ed.S. in higher education from Appalachian State.
