Brent A. Stubbs

Brent A. Stubbs is an executive leader whose career has bridged higher education, workforce and economic development, and advanced manufacturing for more than 15 years. He currently serves as chief administrative officer for Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), one of the largest economic development projects in the United States. Reporting directly to the CEO, he oversees human resources, employee relations, learning and development, information technology, communications, public relations, and general affairs. He previously served as HMGMA’s head of learning and development, establishing training systems and strategic education partnerships that supported the launch of the company’s transformational manufacturing operation.

Before joining HMGMA, Brent spent a decade at Savannah Technical College (GA)  in executive leadership roles, including vice president for economic development and vice president for adult education. He led economic development initiatives, corporate training, apprenticeships, adult education, and grant-funded programs while serving as a key liaison among the college, regional employers, and community partners. Earlier in his career, he held academic leadership positions overseeing curriculum, accreditation, student success, and workforce education programs. Brent began his career as a teacher and coach and has taught learners at every level—from remedial education to graduate courses. That firsthand experience continues to shape his practical approach to connecting education, industry, and community impact.

Brent holds an Ed.D. from Georgia Southern University, an MBA from Brenau University (GA) and is passionate about building organizations, developing leaders, and creating systems that help people and communities succeed.
