Cheryl Kerchis is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (DC) and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. After college, she worked for two years in South Africa and Namibia in a development program focused on education. She also worked for several years as a policy analyst before joining the Slippery Rock University (PA) faculty. She regularly teaches Policy Analysis and Evaluation, International Political Economy, International Relations, Civil Discourse, and Politics of Race at the university. Currently, her research agenda is focused on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in public policy outcomes and how we can train a new generation of students to challenge them more deeply.
