Chunsheng Zhang

Chunsheng Zhang has served as the senior vice provost for international affairs and professor of education at the University of North Alabama since spring 2009. He is responsible for providing institutional leadership for the university’s internationalization planning and implementation and managing the Office of International Affairs, which includes International Recruitment and Admissions, International Student and Scholar Services, Study Abroad and Exchange Programs, the English as a Second Language Program, and the Center for Global Engagement. With over 20 years of work experiences at four different universities, Zhang is a seasoned senior international officer with broad knowledge and experiences in advancing internationalization initiatives, including fundraising and grant writing to support study abroad, international recruitment, and faculty/staff international development. He is a long-time member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA), and other international education organizations. He served on the board of directors for NAFSA and the executive committee for AIEA. He was elected as member of the American International Recruitment Council Certification Commission in 2017.
