Clarissa Unger is the co-founder and executive director of the Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition, the largest nonpartisan network in the United States dedicated to increasing college student voter participation. Additionally, Unger serves as the co-chair of the Vote Early Day Steering Committee. She has a background in advocacy, communications, fundraising, and political campaigns and has worked on strategic campaigns both in the United States and abroad. Prior to founding the SLSV Coalition, she served as the development coordinator for the Robert. J. Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas where she helped promote civic and democratic engagement on campus. Unger has a master’s in public administration and a B.A. in political science and international studies from the University of Kansas and a master’s in comparative European politics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
