Demitris Cambric

Demitris Cambric is the executive director for academic technology at Prairie View A&M University. In her role, Cambric is responsible for leading efforts to maintain service and support to the academic units through technology. Cambric has been charged with managing various duties, ranging from budget planning to multiple system implementations. Cambric developed a data analysis tool and coordinated and implemented a catalog and curriculum system for the university. From consultant to full-time employment, she was charged with overseeing all projects, including upgrading and outfitting classrooms with new learning tools. Supporting units—financial aid, recruitment, admissions, registrar’s office, library, and others—ensure they have the appropriate software and programs to serve the university’s nearly 10,000 students. Cambric holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate, a B.S. in business with a focus on marketing, and an M.S. in psychology from the University of Phoenix. She also earned her M.S. in education counseling from the University of St. Thomas.
