Grady Dixon earned a B.S. in meteorology from Mississippi State University followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geography from University of Georgia and Arizona State University, respectively. He spent nine years at Mississippi State University as an assistant and associate professor before moving to Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in 2014 as the chair of the Department of Geosciences. He has been dean of FHSU’s Werth College of Science, Technology, and Mathematics since 2018.
