Jamie Hooyman

Jamie Hooyman was named provost of Northwest Missouri State University in November 2017 after serving as vice provost since May 2016. As the university’s chief academic officer, she oversees learning, academic quality, and student success. She leads the development and assessment of academic programming in partnership with the university president, the Board of Regents, the Northwest Leadership Team, faculty, staff, and students. Hooyman came to the university from North Central Missouri College where she had been since 2006, including the last two years as vice president of institutional effectiveness. Her professional experience also includes service as a faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma. She earned her Doctor of Education in human performance from Oklahoma State University. She also has an associate degree from North Central Missouri College, a bachelor’s degree in education from Missouri State University, and a master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University.
