Jennifer Deering

Jennifer Deering is the grant writer and grants developer for the University of Central Arkansas’s (UCA) Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. As a co-author of several applications, she has made significant contributions to major public art projects through grant funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, MAP Fund, and the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. She also won a FEMA grant to build a storm shelter for residents who live in UCA off-campus housing and is responsible for renewal applications for the U.S. Department of Education’s Upward Bound Program at UCA.

She served on Grants Resource Center’s (GRC) Advisory Board for three years as a representative of Category C schools and was a member of GRC’s Community and Economic Development Task Force. She is currently the communications chair for the Arkansas Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) as well as a national speaker for GPA. She maintains membership in the National Organization for Research Development Professionals.
