Jill Arensdorf

Jill Arensdorf serves as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) in Kansas. She is also a Leadership Programs professor at FHSU. In her current role, she has co-led a reorganization of student success, the university strategic plan, and a move to centralized advising. Her research interests include civic engagement and leadership, leadership behavior and skill development, and the transfer of learning. Arensdorf has received both the prestigious Navigator and Pilot Awards at FHSU for her exceptional advising and teaching.

Actively involved in the community, Arensdorf currently serves on the Kansas Leadership Center Board of Directors and Kansas FFA Association Board. In 2017–18, she served as president of the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) and received ALE’s Distinguished Leadership and Service Award. Recently, Arensdorf served on the teaching team for the International Leadership Association’s Leadership Education Academy. She completed her master’s degree in agricultural education at Texas A&M University and her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at Kansas State University.
