Jonah Kokodyniak

Jonah Kokodyniak, executive vice president, has more than 15 years of service at the Institute of International Education (IIE) and is currently a member of IIE’s Office of the CEO. During his career at IIE, Kokodyniak has developed new, large-scale education initiatives with leading multinational companies, private foundations, numerous U.S. government agencies, and other governments worldwide. He leads several key programs and departments, including IIE’s Corporate and Foundation Programs; Research, Evaluation and Learning; Program Development and Proposal Management; and IIE’s offices in China, India, Thailand, and Mexico. Kokodyniak oversees IIE’s work on flagship programs, including the Carnegie Africa Diaspora Fellowship, the Ford Global Fellowship, Schwarzman Scholars, the Quad Fellowship, and the Open Doors® Survey. Kokodyniak has been integral to expanding IIE’s work with refugee and displaced students, including developing IIE’s Odyssey Scholarship, the Qatar Scholarship for Afghanistan Project, and IIE’s Ukraine response efforts. Kokodyniak holds an M.A. with honors from the New School for Social Research (NY) and a B.A. from the University of Vermont.
