Kathleen Cassity

Kathleen Cassity serves as the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and as professor of English at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Cassity’s academic specialties include writing pedagogy, Anglo-Indian and postcolonial studies, creative nonfiction/life writing, and transformative learning. She is co-editor of an anthology of Anglo-Indian writing, Curtain Call: Anglo-Indian Reflections, and author of numerous journal articles and book chapters. Her administrative philosophy is grounded in principles of positive leadership, liberal arts advocacy, and collaboration.
