Katie Kinney

Katie Cole Kinney is the dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of North Alabama. As dean, she provides leadership for the Department of Counselor Education, the Department of Kinesiology, and the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership, as well as Kilby Laboratory School and the University of North Alabama Regional Research and Inservice Center. Kinney has been an educator for 24 years in various roles in public P–12 and higher education. She is a professor of elementary education and holds a Ph.D. in instructional leadership from The University of Alabama.
