Kellee Edmonds joined AASCU as the vice president of communications and public relations in March 2019. A seasoned communications professional, she possesses more than 25 years of experience specializing in media relations, public relations, public affairs, marketing, social media, digital communications, and speechwriting.
In her role at AASCU, Kellee is responsible for implementing integrated communications strategies that advance AASCU’s mission, promote its members, and raise AASCU’s public profile among key internal and external stakeholders.
Prior to joining AASCU, Kellee served as the senior director of communications and marketing at the National Association of College and University Business Officers and spent nearly 12 years at the American Council on Education in a variety of positions including director of communications at Higher Education for Development and associate director of public affairs.
A two-time Emmy nominee, Kellee earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree in public communication from American University in Washington, DC. She is the recipient of four EXCEL Awards.
