Dr. Leslie K. Williams serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at California State University, Monterey Bay. She is responsible for the Dean of Students Office, Student Housing & Residential Life; Student Conduct; Student Engagement & Leadership Development including Student Organizations, Greek Life, Leadership Development, Associated Students, and Community Engagement; Care and Basic Needs; Orientation & First Year Experience; Second Year Experience; and Student Recreation. She serves as the PI on a $3M Title V Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions grant Mentorship and Equity in Transitions to Achieve Student Success (METAS), a collaboration with academic affairs to build institutional capacity to increase persistence and completion rates for Hispanic and other low-income students. Leslie has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri, master’s degree in college student personnel from the University of Tennessee, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Johnson & Wales University.

Leslie lives with her spouse, Dr. Bette Nee-Williams, a retired college administrator, their eight-year-old grandson, Elijah, and their three therapy dogs who do volunteer work with hospice patients, nursing homes, and daycare centers. She also loves all sports, especially football, and her favorite food group is candy.
