Luria Young

Dr. Luria Young is an accomplished leader and scholar with a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in higher education. She currently serves as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Southern University and A&M College, where she drives strategic initiatives to enhance student success, faculty advancement, and institutional transformation towards effectiveness. As a tenured professor, Dr. Young has secured millions in external funding and leads nationally recognized STEM education and other projects. She is widely respected for her expertise in academic leadership, grant development, curriculum innovation, and expanding access and opportunities for students to excel in higher education. A thought leader on innovation in higher education, Dr. Young holds an undergraduate degree from Southern University and A&M College, and a masters, educational specialist certificate, and doctorate from Louisiana State University.
