Martin Van Der Werf

Martin Van Der Werf is the director of editorial and education policy at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce in Washington, D.C., where he has worked for nine years. His work is focused on such issues as diversity and access to higher education, the return on investment of colleges, and the workplace value of postsecondary credentials. Earlier in his career, Van Der Werf was a journalist, working at daily newspapers and The Chronicle of Higher Education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Georgetown University.
