Matt Ceppi

Matt Ceppi is the executive director of AASCU Consulting. Ceppi brings more than 23 years of experience in higher education to the position, including 19 years at the California State University (CSU) system. At CSU, Ceppi served as associate vice president and chief of staff at CSU San Marcos and director, systemwide quality improvement, at the CSU Office of the Chancellor. Ceppi previously served as the chief operating officer for the higher education professional services firm Strata Information Group and a consulting principal at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. He has led consulting practices that assisted higher education clients in planning and executing new strategies, performing large-scale and targeted transformation, and developing sustainable business models. Ceppi holds a doctorate from Creighton University (NE) and is a proud alumnus of public higher education, having received his bachelor’s degree from AASCU member California Polytechnic State University. He also serves as an instructor of practice on human capital management and strategy.
