Dr. Michael Thomas Mills has been a presidential spouse for seven years and is married to Denise Battles, President of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Geneseo. Michael spent 25 years as an English faculty member at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, University of Northern Colorado, and Georgia Southern University before being named as the present Director of National Fellowships and Scholarships at SUNY Geneseo.
