Murat Yaşar

Dr. Murat Yaşar serves as the Deputy to the President for Strategy, Planning, and Special Projects at the State University of New York at Oswego. In this capacity, he acts as a senior advisor to the President, overseeing the alignment of the university’s strategic priorities with its mission and goals. He leads the implementation and evaluation of the university’s strategic plan and Vision 4040, advancing the Oswego Promise of expanding access to higher education. With over a decade of service at SUNY Oswego, Dr. Yaşar has held various academic and administrative roles, most recently as Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, his M.A. from Bilkent University, and his B.Sc. from Middle East Technical University.
