Philipp Schmidt

Philipp Schmidt is vice president of technology innovation at Axim Collaborative, a nonprofit organization founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University that provides grant funding and capacity building for digital transformation in broad-access higher education in the U.S. Before joining Axim, Schmidt was director of digital learning at the MIT Media Lab and senior adviser for digital credentials at MIT. Schmidt serves on the boards of College Unbound, a college designed from the ground up to serve adult students, and Peer 2 Peer University, a nonprofit that connects online learning and public libraries. He was also a founding board member of the OpenCourseWare Consortium.
