Tonya Smith-Jackson

Smith-Jackson earned her M.S. and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in psychology/ergonomics and interdisciplinary industrial engineering. She earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent 14 years at Virginia Tech, moving from assistant to associate to full professor of industrial and systems engineering. She is interim director of the Center of Excellence in Research, Education and Outreach and directs the Human Factors Analytics Lab and co-directs the laboratory for Cyber-Human Analytics Research for the Internet of Things.
