With support from the Lumina Foundation, AASCU is developing a Pulse Survey instrument and toolkit for campus leaders to assess and improve belonging on their respective campuses. Six member campuses will have the opportunity to deploy the survey in Fall 2024. (Preference will be given to MLI members and ADP campuses). Participating campuses will work with a team of researchers who developed the survey instrument and toolkit. The researchers will provide guidance on the process to deploy and respond to the survey, including gaining institutional buy-in, managing campus communications, discussions with faculty, launching the survey, and engaging the community around results and actions for improvement based on the results of the survey. Participating campuses will be able to launch the Pulse Survey on its own or integrate into other survey efforts. A report and toolkit for the survey process will be made freely available to all members in 2025.

- University of Southern Indiana

Benefits of participation:

Applications are closed.
- Your institution would be able to begin the planning for this project in Spring 2024 and conduct the survey in Fall 2024.
- If your application is successful, we will invite you to meet with our research team to assess whether you would like to commit to participating as a pilot institution.
