Leah Murray

Leah Murray is the Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor in the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Weber State University (UT) and the director of the Olene S. Walker Institute of Politics & Public Service. She holds a B.A. from Syracuse University (NY) and a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Albany. Murray is the author or co-author of two books and 12 journal articles and book chapters. She was recognized as the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Endowed Professor for 2017–2020. She leads Weber State Votes, the campus’s student voter engagement effort, which has earned numerous recognitions, and is an active member of the American Political Science Association’s Civic Engagement Section.
