Caroline W. Lee is professor of sociology and faculty director of the Landis Center for Community Engagement at Lafayette College (PA). Her current project, Public or Perish: Community Engagement in U.S. Higher Education, examines the promotion of democratic practices in U.S. higher education. Her book Do-It-Yourself Democracy: The Rise of the Public Engagement Industry (Oxford 2015) studies the public engagement industry in the United States.
