In an era of rising polarization and global interdependence, higher education has a unique responsibility to equip students with the skills to understand, engage, and lead across divides. This session—hosted in partnership with CFR Education, the educational arm of the Council on Foreign Relations—will explore how global affairs literacy can strengthen civic engagement and foster inclusive, democratic classrooms and campuses. Learning from AASCU colleagues, attendees will gain actionable strategies to embed global learning into curricula and co-curricular programming. They will leave with tools to help prepare students to build bridges across differences and contribute meaningfully to a complex world.
