Bill McGillis

Bill McGillis has served as the University of San Diego’s Associate Vice President and Executive Director of Athletics since January of 2017. He oversees 17 Division I programs and is a current member of the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee in addition to a past stint on the FCS Football Committee. His nearly six-year tenure in Alcala Park thus far has seen him establish a winning tradition in the classroom, on the playing field, and in the community.

The Seattle, Washington native joined the Toreros from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he was named the Director of Athletics in July of 2013. Prior to that, he spent stints at the University of Southern Florida, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Houston.

He and his wife Margie have five children–sons Jordan, Taylor and Will, and daughters Marissa and Gabrielle.
