Debbie Storrs joined UNC Greensboro as Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor in July 2021. Previously she served as a professor of sociology where she taught social inequalities, sociology of race and ethnicity, sociology of gender and sexuality, and co-developed a certificate in diversity and stratification. Storrs has held many leadership positions at previous institutions including department chair of the Department of Sociology/Anthropology/Justice Studies and the Department of Languages & Literature at the University of Idaho, Associate Dean of the College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Idaho, Dean of Arts & Sciences Senior Vice Provost, and Interim Provost  at the University of North Dakota.
