Gerard J. Puccio is a renowned thought leader in the field of creativity and innovation, serving as a State University of New York (SUNY) Distinguished Professor and chair of the Center for Applied Imagination at Buffalo State University. With a prolific body of work that includes over 70 articles, chapters, and books, Puccio has made a lasting impact on the study of creative thinking. His exceptional contributions to research have earned him the SUNY Chancellor’s Recognition Award for Research Excellence, as well as Buffalo State’s President’s Medal for Scholarship and Creativity.
Recognized as one of America’s leading educators, Puccio was selected by The Teaching Company to deliver a Great Course titled “The Creative Thinkers’ Tool Kit,” where he shares his expertise on harnessing creative potential. He also has provided consulting and training services to organizations in over 20 countries. Additionally, Puccio serves on the advisory selection committee for the Strong Museum’s Toy Hall of Fame, contributing his expertise in recognizing creative excellence. He earned his Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the University of Manchester, England.
