Jacqueline Coomes

Jacqueline Coomes, associate dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and professor of mathematics education at Eastern Washington University, has worked in and led multiple projects to increase mathematics success for college students throughout her 23-year career in higher education. Most recently, her work has included building pathways into mathematics requirements; designing, implementing, and studying co-requisites; and instituting transcript-based placement. Prior work involves collaborating with high schools and community colleges to improve students’ transitions at key points in their educational trajectories.
