Jennifer Fraser serves as managing director of Division I governance at the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). In her current role, she acts as primary liaison to the NCAA Division I Council and works directly with the Division I Board of Directors and Presidential Forum. During her previous tenure at the NCAA, she supported the Division I Committee on Academics, where she played a significant role in the committee’s academic reform efforts. As a primary staff liaison to committees, Fraser helped implement the revised Division I governance structure and worked on a number of policy initiatives, including time management, transfer issues, and initial eligibility standards. Fraser also has significant experience with the NCAA’s governance processes, having spent three years working in the national office’s Division II governance. She began her career at the NCAA Eligibility Center working in client relations. Before joining the NCAA, Fraser was an assistant commissioner at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and an assistant athletic director and senior woman administrator at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She was also the assistant commissioner and senior woman administrator at the California Collegiate Athletic Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, San Bernardino.
