John Jasinski

For decades, John Jasinski has helped organizations improve, advocating passionately for higher education’s role in strengthening communities and enhancing lives. He champions access, affordability, and student success.

President emeritus of Northwest Missouri State University, Jasinski led the institution for 13 years, earning statewide and national recognition for its performance excellence—achieving record-setting enrollment, retention, graduation, financial and fundraising milestones, and athletic success. His leadership spans roles as provost, chief academic and operating officer, associate provost, department chair, faculty member, and consultant advising education, health care, nonprofit, and manufacturing sectors on organizational excellence.

A respected leader within AASCU, he has served on its board, mentored executives through its various leadership programs, guided strategic planning, led leadership retreats, and represented AASCU on Capitol Hill. He has conducted organizational assessments, evaluated presidents, shaped institutional strategies at the state and national levels, and worked with higher education institutions that are part of systems along with state boards and regional and state chambers of commerce.

Jasinski has a Ph.D. from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. and B.A.A. from Central Michigan University.
