Leticia Maldonado

Leticia Maldonado serves as the Director of Postsecondary Value Initiatives for the Office of the President. With over 15 years of experience in higher education in the U.S. and abroad, she joined AASCU after her tenure as Dean of Students in California and in Florence, Italy where she had the joy and unique experience of working with students, staff, and faculty from over 100 nations. Leticia has led student affairs teams at international institutes, private liberal arts colleges, research-one universities, and most recently, the California Community Colleges.

As a first-generation college graduate and a California native, Leticia attributes her success in higher education to the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance instilled by her immigrant parents. Leticia joins AASCU with a strong sense of responsibility to improve the lives of thousands of students through increased opportunities for advancement and economic mobility. One of Leticia’s greatest passions is wilderness backpacking and hiking around the world. Completing the Alta Via No. 1 trail in the eastern Dolomites in 2019 is one of her most treasured experiences.
