Marcella Elliott-Ferguson of the University of The Bahamas (UB) has direct responsibility for the five departments of Recruitment & Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Registrar, Institutional Research, and Athletics (inclusive of UB North counterparts). In addition, she has shared responsibility for the successful implementation of the Strategic Enrolment Plan and provides key performance indicators to the executive team and the board of trustees. She also serves as the chair of the UB Disaster Preparedness Committee and served as co-chair of the COVID-19 Task Force.
She is a certified disaster preparedness and assessment professional, with over 30 years of experience. She serves as a volunteer of Bahamas Red Cross Society and the Bahamas National Disaster and Risk Management Team of volunteers.
