Yoshiko Takahashi

Yoshiko Takahashi was appointed Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Central Washington University in September 2022. She is responsible for overseeing the exploratory Advising and Learning Commons and collaborating with various campus divisions to facilitate high-impact practices and university research providing a high-quality undergraduate student experience. Her responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, program assessment and general education. Before joining Central Washington University, Dr. Takahashi served in multiple campus-wide roles at CSU Fresno including Interim associate dean of the College of Social Sciences and interim director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. She also worked on the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving-Institution (AANAPISI) Initiative that aimed to expand the capacity of the university to support Asian American and Pacific Islander criminology major students. Dr. Takahashi completed her Ph.D. in public policy with a justice concentration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests include victimology, criminology, and victim assistance. She is a co-author of Victimology and Victim Assistance: Advocacy, Intervention, and Restoration.
