Late last week, the Department of Education released the official prepublication copy of the final regulations on Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance, also known as the Title IX rule. The official publication is expected on April 29. The final regulations are effective for all colleges and universities on Aug. 1, and apply to complaints of sex discrimination regarding alleged conduct that occurs on or after that date.
