Timothy Mottet is a dynamic and accomplished leader in higher education, known for his visionary approach and commitment to student success. His expertise encompasses strategic planning, leadership development, communication effectiveness, and organizational culture. He is particularly skilled in helping leaders navigate complex challenges, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and foster innovation.

He served as president of Colorado State University Pueblo from 2017–2023, where he spearheaded a comprehensive transformation that redefined the institution as a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking “people’s university.” This revitalization led to national recognition, including being named one of the country’s up-and-coming Hispanic-serving institutions by Forbes magazine.

In addition to his consulting work, Mottet is a prolific scholar and author. He has co-authored four books and published more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He is a certified trainer for the Franklin Covey group and frequently provides communication, leadership, and organizational training to clients in a wide range of industries.

Mottet has an Ed.D. from West Virginia University, an M.S. from Boston University, and a B.A. from William Jewell College (MO).
